Play to earn

The new era of video games: play-to-earn

In January 2021, it was estimated that there were more than 2.7 billion video game players and this number is still growing. Today, when we play a video game, we can buy the game directly, pay a subscription, or access free content with paid cosmetics. But this system is likely to change in the years to come, especially thanks to a new system called play-to-earn. As its name suggests, this reward system offers players a new way to play. While we used to be able to spend hours on our favorite games without any payment, the play-to-earn system seeks to reward its players, participating in the ecosystem of your game will allow you to reward yourself and the other players as well developers of the projects.

Star du foot & play-to-earn

The goal of Star du Foot is to allow all players participating in the game to earn rewards; the more challenges you complete, the more time you spend on the game, the more bonuses you will earn. These bonuses come in three forms:

  • Goalars, whose economy will be reviewed, to avoid too much currency in circulation on the game

  • Items through NFT, with different degrees of rarity and contribution to the game

  • Cryptocurrency, more precisely ICX

All these rewards will then be exchangeable to other players.
